How sslba.sk handles visitor data.
Who processes the data
The website is run by the Society of Slovak Physicians in Bratislava (Spolok slovenských lekárov v Bratislave). Please send questions about personal data to info@sslba.sk.
Visiting the site
The site is delivered by Cloudflare. On every visit it processes your IP address and browser details, which it needs to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. It does so on the basis of our legitimate interest in running the site securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use this data to track visitors.
Language
On your first visit to the home page, the site decides between the Slovak and the English version from the country you connect from (derived from your IP address) and your browser's language. Neither is stored.
If you switch the language (SK / EN), your browser remembers the choice for 1 year in the cookie sl-lang, so that the home page opens in that language next time. The cookie holds nothing else and is sent only to this site.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)
If you choose “Accept” in the cookie bar, the site loads Google Analytics from Google Ireland Limited. It shows us overall statistics, such as how many people visit the site and which pages they read. To do this it stores the cookies _ga and _ga_<ID> in your browser for up to 2 years. Google may transfer data outside the European Union, in particular to the USA.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without it Google Analytics does not load and no analytics cookies are set. You can withdraw your consent at any time under “Cookie settings” in the page footer; this deletes the _ga cookies.
Your browser remembers your choice (the item sl-consent in its storage). It is not sent to us.
If you write to us, for example to propose a lecture, we use your address and message only to deal with it and to organise the evening lectures.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict processing, to data portability, to object to processing and to withdraw your consent. Just write to info@sslba.sk.
You can lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27, dataprotection.gov.sk.
